On My Way...

I'm a artist with long experience. Previously I worked as a web designer for three years, and as a graphic designer for four years spending the last two and half as an in-house designer for the sCh design studio in Tuzla. My passions are information, architecture, drawing, photo and design.

Thanks for visiting!

sCh Biography - Emir

sCh design studio is established by Emir Delalic. He was born in spring 1972 in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina, as the last child of his parents. From a young age, Emir demonstrated a strong disposition toward the graphic arts. His parents would bring home extra printer paper — which Emir would then take to with crayons, drawing sheet after sheet. Despite his obvious disposition toward sugary treats, Emir was also enamored by the strong color contrasts and geometric shapes inherent in these devices. With the advent of the early Macintosh computer drawing programs, he shifted mediums and would spend hours creating fantasy scapes and abstract geometric compositions using only the “brick” fills and rules of assorted weights. In these pre-Bézier curve days, Emir made use of different circles sizes to achieve an altogether unconvincing ivy-draped castle look. Later, when Emir was encouraged by his friends, he discovered the joys of the early (it was still owned by Aldus) PageMaker programs. Not that there were many. He quickly became the class expert and could solve all problems relating to overexpanded leading and pesky forgotten-about “paper” boxes sitting on top of important content.

Later, he successfully sought a number of freelance projects and began to forge a career through the creation of logos, programs, newsletters, Web sites and, the bread-and-butter of designers everywhere, annual reports. By this time Emir had come full circle.

Luckily, Emir found an extremely fulfilling position with a local nonprofit, where he happily churned out publication after publication for two and a half years. Emir is currently in the process of fulfilling his next personal goal with sCh design studio.
